7 Things For December
December always seems to be the craziest month, with all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays and rushing around to get a million things done. Not to mention that this is the month that the cold really starts to set in and all the nasty winter germs start making their way around. Fear not, I have 7 things to help see you through this December by fighting stress, sniffly noses and helping you make your way through the cold weather- And I just may have a little something to brighten up your spirits!
Buddha Teas
I’ve been trying to drink more tea. Both for the health benefits and to drink less coffee. Buddha Teas has a lot of VERY interesting blends. I swear I looked through their site for like 30 minutes just to pick one! I’ve been loving their Calm Blend which is a blend of kava kava root, chamomile, St. John’s wort, Passion Flower, Skullcap, spearmint, lavender, and cinnamon (almost all of the ingredients are organic). This is the perfect tea to sip before bed or when you’re in the middle of a stressful day. Buddha Teas uses bleach-free, biodegradable tea bags and all of their packaging is eco-friendly. If you want to try it, they have a promotion where they giveaway a sample to each of their Instagram followers. I may have to try their Skinny Buddha Blend after the holidays.
Kosmatology Lip Balms
If these don’t bring you some Christmas cheer, then I don’t know what will. Kosmatology has a limited edition Holiday Lip Balm set that includes: 1 Frosted Pine Lip Balm, 1 Holiday Spice Lip Balm, 1 Kandy Kane Kisser Lip Balm and 1 Merry Cranberry Lip Balm. They are each so cute and they’re perfect for a stocking stuffer or for putting yourself in a more cheerful mood.
RDevine Skincare Body Oils
Because you need a little love too during this hectic month. RDevine’s body oils give your skin a nice dose of moisture during these cold winter months and all the scents are so nice. I tried Meditative Blend, Restful Blend, and Sensual Blend. I have to say the Sensual Blend is probably my favorite, but they all have nice therapeutic properties (who doesn’t need a little Restful Blend right now?).
Beret Jane
This little jar of Beret Jane’s Miracle Salve can work wonders this time of year (or really any time of year, given all of it’s uses). One look at the rich marigold colored cream and you know it’s full of potent ingredients. In fact, it contains the strongest Calendula extract in the world, according to it’s creators. It also has nourishing, natural butters, along with lavender and chamomile. This salve has a long list of uses, but I’ve mainly been using it on my hands. The last few winters I’ve had lot’s of dryness and even cracked skin (I wash my hands so much more now that I have kids), so as soon as I saw some cracking I started using this. It healed up within days. It’s pretty crazy because last winter I tried lot’s of different things and nothing completely got rid of it. This is the perfect antidote to your cold weather woes!
W3ll People
W3ll People just released some new colors, just in time for all of those holiday parties. Their Hyponotist Eyeliner just got a major upgrade when they released in in a pretty plum color. It’s a dark purple that looks gorgeous on. They also released their Bio Extreme Lipgloss in Gold. This looks great by itself (it has a rather subtle shimmery, neutral color) or layered on top of your favorite lipstick to add a little sparkle and shine.
Zoe Organics
Zoe Organics makes so many great products for the whole family and I especially reach for them when we feel a bit under the weather. Their Breathe Balm is a staple in our house right now, along with the Everything Balm and Cream. The Cream offers intense moisture without being heavy and the Everything Balm is a simple tube that can be directly applied to chapped lips, raw little noses or anywhere that needs a bit of protection and healing. My kids can even apply it themselves which I love! Also, you can pick this stuff up at Target in the Women’s Health section.
Glowing Beets
Last, but certainly not least, we have Glowing Beets monthly beauty box. This is a great gift for a loved one, but ALSO happens to be a great way to treat yourself! All the brands they feature are completely natural and free of any sketchy ingredients. I love that their biggest intention is to help people find awesome nontoxic products to switch over too. My last box (November) included lipstick by FitGlow Beauty, cleanser and toner by Little Barn Apothecary, scrub by Body Babes, Sweet Emotions handmade soap, HD cleansing balm and a sample of Mun’s serum. So many awesome brands and a great way to discover them. And as a special surprise: Glowing Beets has reserved their very last November box to do a giveaway with my readers! Follow along on Instagram for your chance to win and stay tuned because we may just giveaway one of their December boxes pretty soon too!

Thank you so much for checking out Miracle Salve and for the lovely review! I also use it for a thumb crack that appears every winter. Hasn’t shown up yet, been raining here in Milwaukee. But I am ready! 🙂
