7 Things For May

Holding Erin's Faces Matcha Mascara

May is finally here bringing warm, sunny weather and longer days. We’ve been spending as much time outside as we can (our patio doesn’t know what hit it- we’ve never been out there this much!) and dreaming of summer days ahead. In the meantime, I’m wrapping up spring with some fun new product launches and some things that make being at home even better. From colorful spring makeup to a way to beat spring allergies, here are 7 things for May!

7 Things For May

One. Welcome To The Sun Show

The newly released bronzer from Kosas, The Sun Show Moisturizing Baked Bronzer, is perfect for a subtle sun-kissed glow. I’ve been testing out the shade light and it’s perfect for my, well let’s just say yet-to-be tan skin (As in, ghost-like!). They also offer a medium and a dark shade. Each has just a touch of iridescence to give you a little glow. Find it here.

Two. New Lippies For Spring

A colorful assortment of Lip Velvets lined up on counter

I recently tried CLOVE + HALLOW Lip Velvets for the first time and wow, was I blown away! Who knew green beauty could perform so well? It goes on as a liquid (almost like a gloss) but dries to a super pigmented matte lipstick that doesn’t budge for hours! My favorite colors so far are Road Trip and Darling. Find them here. You can’t beat them for $19 and use code MAISONPUR15 to save more!

Three. Matcha For Your Lashes??

That’s what I said when I first heard about the amazing mascara that Erin’s Faces has been working on for NINE years! Then I tried it and understood what a special product it is. It gives so much length and definition- seriously one of the most lengthening mascaras that I’ve tried. But why matcha? It’s been shown to strengthen hair in several studies. You may remember my review of Encha Matcha (the purest matcha that I’ve found), well that’s the brand of matcha inside this mascara, which makes this the best of the best! Find it here and use code MAISONPUR as a one time discount of 10% off their site!

Four. Ignite Your Light

Holding up Ignite Your Light book over counter

The newest book from author Jolene hart! You may have remembered us talking a bit about it on the podcast way back in March, but it launched this past month and is just beautiful. It has tons of wonderful recipes and tips for getting to the root of what lights you up. You can find it on Amazon

Five. A Dose Of Vitamin A

One Love Organics Botanical A Cleanser is like spring cleaning for your skin. Not only does it cleans skin, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) scrubs away surface congestion and beta hydroxy acid (BHA) deeply cleanses pores. It leaves you with a nice, gentle exfoliation making skin super smooth and soft. Find it here.

Six. Spring Allergies?

Depending on where you live, this is high allergy season. All those blooming flower = lots of sneezing! I shared about the AirDoctor air purifier last month, and I’m happy to report that my husband has seen a dramatic improvement in his allergies this spring since we’ve been using it. Normally he’s miserable from March through May, but this year has been much better. You can still score one of their air purifiers for nearly half price with my link. Check out this post for details.

Seven. Simple, Earth-Friendly Packaging

I love that some brands are thinking outside the box when it comes to packaging this year. Axiology just launched zero-waste balmies on Earth Day and I’m amazed at how simple and how cool they turned out! You simply tear off more paper as you use the balmies and everything is recyclable and/or compostable. Find them here and use code EvilFree to save 10%.

Happy May!!
