AirDoctor Review: The Best Air Purifier For The Money

After a recent episode of the Maison Pur podcast, Laura from Laura’s Natural Life ranked air purifiers as one of the most important items for a healthy home. Afterwards, I received a flood of questions about air purifiers which sent me on a research quest to find the best air purifier for the money! I’m excited to share one that compares to or even exceeds all the pricier air purifiers but at a much more reasonable price! After researching, AirDoctor came out on top. But I couldn’t be sure until I tested it for myself, so they were kind enough to send one for me to try out. I’ll tell you all about how it stacks up below in my AirDoctor review. I also have a special discount for my readers which save you A LOT!

First, why do you even need an air purifier? Studies have shown that our indoor air is contaminated with phthalates, parabens, PBDE flame retardants, PCBs, and pesticides. All of which are widely used in home building and home furnishings we bring into our homes but have been linked to effects such as cancer and reproductive, neurological, and thyroid disorders.

While the health issues of indoor air quality are a major concern, if someone in your home has allergies, an air purifier can do wonders. It reduces their symptoms by cleaning dust, pollen, pet dander and more from the air. Not to mention, it can keep everyone in your home healthier by removing germs, bacteria, and viruses from your air too.

My thoughts on AirDoctor:

There are a lot of choices for home air purifiers out there but in my opinion, this one is the best units for your money. It purifies just as well as the pricier options, is super quiet, and very easy to use. We have the AirDoctor 3000, which is the mid-size unit. This unit is relatively small for the amount of area it covers and very lightweight (18 lbs) so you can move it easily. It may not be as chic as some of the competition but it’s also not an eyesore like some units I looked into.

We’ve been using it for several weeks now which happen to coincide with pollen season here in Charlotte (and when I say pollen season, I mean everything gets coated with a layer of yellow dust- we’re voted one of the worst cities for allergies in the US). Our inside air has been so crisp and clean, and my husband who typically has horrible allergies this time of year has noticed a huge improvement. I’ve even noticed less dust in the house!

What it filters out:

  • Dust & Pollen
  • Mold Spores
  • Pet Hair & Dander
  • Bacteria
  • Viruses
  • VOCs
  • Gases
  • Ozone
  • Cigarette Smoke

Here’s some very technical info but this thing really purifies and has the filters to prove it! The AirDoctor has an UltraHEPA filter and dual-action Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC Filter and a washable pre-filter.

The UltraHEPA Filter is 100X more effective than ordinary HEPA filters and is able to capture 100% of airborne allergens and pollutants at.003 microns in size. The whole system is sealed too, so all the air coming in gets purified. This unit also covers 2,400 sq ft of space.

Very Quiet

This is much quieter than other air purifiers we’ve had and quieter than most larger units.

Super Easy To Use

It’s automated so it senses how clean your air is and adjusts the fan accordingly. It also has an indicator light to let you know when it’s time to change the filter.

Price

As I mentioned, this is priced really well compared to the competition which is a huge draw, but it doesn’t sacrifice quality. It’s just as effective at removing substances from the air as the more expensive versions and in some cases, even better.

At $629 it’s much less than other units and they have a special deal for my readers. If you order through this link you automatically get $280 off the AirDoctor 3000. Even better, right??

If you need a compact size, the AirDoctor 1000 circulates the air in a 235 sq. ft. room 5x/hour or in a 587 sq. ft room 2x/hour. Great for smaller rooms offices or bedrooms! Save $120 off of this unit with my link.

They just added a much larger size, the AirDoctor 5000. It circulates the air in a 868 sq. ft. room 5x/hour or in a 2170 sq. ft room 2x/hour. Save $300 off of this unit with my link.

Cheers to pure healthy air for your home!
