Aloha Leahlani!

Today is the day! If you’ve been following me on social media then you probably already know I’m excited and you know what I’m excited about. With coconut kisses and mermaid wishes, the much beloved Leahlani Skincare line is launching several new products today, along with a new look and a new website (previously these products were sold through Etsy). As a long time fan of Leahlani and the creator of the brand, Leah, I already had several favorites from the line and couldn’t imagine her topping those… But, Oh my gosh. Did she ever!

Leahlani

Leahlani Package

Leah is one of the sweetest, kindest people you’ll meet and the love she puts into her products is evident. I can’t explain how, but her products have always made me feel like my skin was being loved and nurtured. On top of that, the Hawaiian flavor of her home on Kaua’i flows through her products as well. If you follow her on Instagram, then you’ve not only gotten to see some behind the scenes on her creations, but you’ve also seen the serene snap shots she shares of life in Paradise.

She’s spent the last two years working on the launch that’s happening today. From the formulations to the packaging, she wanted to get it just right. I have to say that my mouth dropped open wide when I first opened my box of beautiful new creations from her. Everything was just SO gorgeous and just SO Leah. With the help of her sister, she has managed to do what many brands can’t. Her products tell her story for her, perfectly. These are things that you don’t hide away under your sink, but rather proudly display on a shelf in your bathroom, so you can get a little Aloha each time you see them. The products speak for themselves, but I do want to tell you a little about each product I tried!

Meli Glow

Leahlani Meli Glow

Meli Glow

This mask was designed to brighten your skin and give it that glow! It contains exotic fruits, Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and stimulating clays immersed in a nectar infusion of organic Hawaiian honey. It’s a quick mask. In only 5-15 minutes you can rinse it off to reveal soft, glowing skin. It smells delicious, with a floral, fruity overtone to the honey. You may seriously have to stop yourself from trying a tiny bit!

Kokoleka

Meet Leah’s dessert mask for your skin. It’s made to detoxify and indulge your skin at the same time, and it smells very indulgent indeed. Made with organic cacao, coconut milk, acai, molokai black sea salt, activated coconut charcoal and organic bohemian Black Fango, this mask mixes up into a velvety, chocolatey (almost pudding-like) syrup. This mask is packed with active ingredients and tingles a little when you first apply it. Then you let the mask do it’s magic by letting it dry completely if you have normal or oily skin or letting it sit on your skin for 5 minutes or so if you have dry or sensitive skin. This is one of the few detox masks I’ve tried that doesn’t just completely dry out my skin. It adds back nourishment as it’s working, so your skin is still left soft and glowing. And because masking it always a little more luxurious when you have a brush to apply it with, I highly recommend you pick up Leahlani’s new mask brush with this mask. Seriously, it turns it into a spa like experience (even with kids pounding on the door) and I don’t think I can mask without it now!

Leahlani toner

From my loving hands to yours

Citrus + Citrine

Citrus + Citrine

This regenerating toning mist is like a ray of sunshine that brightens my spirits. I type that knowing how incredibly cheesy that sounds, but honestly, that’s the only way I can describe it. This mist is suited for both mature skin and oily skin types. I use it after cleansing and before my moisturizer. I’m not always good about using a toner, but this is one I can see myself becoming addicted to. I already spray it on my face just about every time I walk past it. It adds a subtle bit of moisture and just makes me happy.

Mahina

Mahina

Ok, before I say anything else, I need to point out that this smells exactly like an Orange Dreamsicle Pop. You had me at Hello… Sometimes I wonder how many of Leah’s products are safe to eat, because most all of them smell pretty delicious! Mahina is an evening skin elixir that is designed to soften the skin while you sleep to promote a youthful and alluring radiance. All of the ingredients pack a punch: oils of Moringa, marula, and pickly pear seed with Vitamin A rich carrot seed oil, and chia seed oil (high in antioxidants and Omega oil) come together to work hard on your skin while you’re in dreamland.

Last, but a far cry from least. This was the original product I fell in love with, as I was lucky enough to get a sample of what Leah had been working on last spring. As soon as I set eyes on this gorgeous pink balm, I knew this would be something I would treasure. This is the silkiest balm I’ve ever used and it sinks right into your skin. With orange blossom and blue tansy, you feel an instant calm and happiness as soon as you apply it. My skin LOVES this balm and drinks it right up. I even use it on my lips and around my eye area when I feel like I need more moisture. This is a new must-have product for me and one that I will be sure to keep back-ups of!

So as of the time I’m writing this, Leahlaniskincare.com has not launched (it officially launches on January 6th) and so I can’t link to any of the products. I will do my best to add in links the first chance I get. You can use a special discount code to save on your order from now until Friday: LEAHLANILAUNCH. Leah is also having a pretty epic giveaway of the new products on her Instagram, so be sure to follow along there as well. In the meantime, I’ll be dreaming of Hawaii as I live vicariously through her Instagram account and the scents of her amazing products. xo
