Anti-aging: The Real Deal
In case you haven’t noticed, I try a lot of natural skincare products. Sometimes it can be tough to go from some truly great skincare products to using ho-hum products and it makes me want to swear off trying anymore skincare ever again so I can just stick with what I know my skin loves. It’s always a dilemma as a blogger, since I want to make sure I’m trying what’s out there and letting you all know about any amazing new natural products to hit the market, but when I find something that I love, I honestly dread switching up my routine. That’s exactly how I feel right now. I already count so many of True Botanicals products as favorites, but recently I started trying their Renew line (launched this past fall) and I’m full-on addicted. My skin is loving it! As in, I really don’t want to have to switch my routine ever again, loving it.
True Botanicals isn’t just another natural brand pushing blends of essential oils and botanicals and claiming to be better than botox. However, they do use real science and independent studies to create potent formulas with all natural ingredients that deliver results. It may not be overnight botox, but I always quickly notice my skin improving with their products. Their innovative ingredients are one of the things that first impressed me most about their brand and what helped make it a long time staple in my routine. A while back, I had reviewed their now discontinued Nighttime Serum and the previous version of their vitamin c treatment. Both were great products that my skin did well with, but in keeping with true transparency, when they discovered a potential contamination issue within the supply chain for an ingredient in the Nighttime Serum, they immediately discontinued it and notified all of their customers. I really commend them for that. They’re always double checking to ensure the products are completely safe to use. In fact, they’ve even been certified by Made Safe, which does independent testing for everything from potential toxins, to GMO’s, to VOC’s. So as you may have guessed, they’ve come out with a new set of anti-aging products and the new line has turned out to be some seriously tough competition, even for conventional brands. In independent clinical trials, they beat out Creme de la Mer. Seriously!
This is the new line that’s shaking things up. Renew is designed to increase hydration and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I’ve been using the Renew Cellular Repair Serum and the new version of the Vitamin C Booster together and I’m so impressed with the results. I can feel my skin is firmer and more hydrated, AND I have definitely noticed a big difference in those pesky lines that have creeped in since I’ve gotten into my 30’s. My skin is so much smoother when I wake up and I’ve also noticed a big reduction in breakouts. I truly only get stress or hormonal breakouts, so it’s not a constant thing, but I’ve had none since I started using this combo. Here’s my exact routine: I cleanse and mist my face and then in my palm I mix a couple of pumps of the serum, along with 2-3 shakes of the Vitamin C Booster powder. The powder dissolves quickly and I press the mixture into my face and neck. This is more of a treatment than a moisturizer, so I recommend using a high quality face oil as well. True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance oil is made to work along side those products, but I don’t have that particular oil so I typically use either another face oil from True Botanicals (any of their face oils would work great with these and I’m a fan of using what you have if you can) or I use another oil I love, Maya Chia’s The Super Couple.
Another new favorite that I’ve incorporated into my routine is their Smoothing Eye and Lip Balm, which now comes in the chicest little compact. Carrot Seed oil, grapeseed oil and more help this balm to reduce wrinkles. It also gives some major hydration and has been a welcome addition to my bag this winter. I use it at night and on the go for dry lips or to give some extra hydration to my eye area. The compact is refillable, which makes it chic and eco-freindly! They also offer a larger size.
True Botanicals makes a few different lines of products for different skin needs. You can check out their skin quiz here, if you want a more customized routine. You can also check out my review of their Clear line here, which helped my skin tremendously after I was on a row of stress breakouts. Also, for first time customer, you can use code MOLLYTRUE20 for $20 off an order of $40 or more. Happy Friday! xo

Hi- I am trying to decide between Maya Chia Super blend pressed serum and the super couple face oil and True Botanicals oil and serum. Would you recommend one over the other?
Thanks!
Maya Chia’s Pressed serum is a very different product from True Botanicals Serum. I love both, so I’m going to send you an email breaking down the differences!
Thank you!
I was researching the same thing! Can you share the differences between this and the maya chi super couple?
Hi! The Maya Chia Super Couple is a face oil and would be your final moisturizer, where these are treatment products you’d layer on after washing but prior to your final moisturizer. So that’s the biggest difference! They both have antioxidants that can help skin. I would say the best bang for your buck may be the Super Couple!
