April Beauty Heroes With Mukti Organics
The flowers are blooming and bees are buzzing, at least here in the south. Spring marches on in a strange yet reassuring juxtaposition to our current circumstances. Watching the world outside our windows slowly come to life is a good reminder that this season will pass and eventually things will feel normal again. If you’ve been social distancing or sheltering in place, you may not be giving a lot of thought to makeup these days but skincare, on the other hand, can be quite therapeutic and deliver long term results. April Beauty Heroes has the perfect duo to not only refresh your skin for spring but also uplift your spirits.
April Beauty Heroes
The brand this month is Mukti Organics and while this is a new to me brand, I have to admit I knew immediately I’d love this line. Mukti, the brand’s namesake, is an eco-activist and an early adopter of green chemistry. She pulled on that background to formulate products using all natural ingredients, including using native Australian cellular extracts. Her line meets the gold standard in global organic certifications and is certified COSMOS-ORGANIC. The best part is the experience of using the products and how well they work!
The Hero
As you guys know, I love blue tansy, so no surprise that I fell for this right away. Mukti’s Hyaluronic Marine Serum is such a lovely, light-weight serum that draws in hydration. It absorbs in really nicely and you can top it with your favorite face cream or oil. This formula uses fucoidan extract which is found in wakame seaweed which is native to Australia. This ingredient helps to plump skin and help with firmness, elasticity and more.
I love the cool blue-ish color and the soothing scent. The blue tansy really comes through but isn’t overpowering. I’ve been using this both mornings and evenings. Normally retails for $91.
The Sidekick
This is hero-worthy on its own! The 2-in-1 Resurfacing Exfoliant has a gentle physical exfoliant (AKA manual exfoliation) and it also relies on a natural AHA from fruit acids to fully exfoliate skin and make it feel baby soft. I absolutely love the clean, fresh scent- It smells like cucumbers and limes. I also really like the vibrant green color. The whole product just relays a happy feel.
It comes out almost like a gel with a little ground bamboo and it easily massages onto my face and neck. I use circular motions to apply it and get a little scrubbing action in and then it rinses clean. I use it about 2-3 times a week. Normally retails for $33.
