As spring makes her entrance with budding flowers and bright green plants, it seems only fitting for Beauty Heroes to focus on a line that’s somehow harnessed the power of the plants coming forth. The April Beauty Heroes box features de Mamiel, which is a new line for me. The ingredient lists are extensive for their products, but each ingredient is there for a reason and plays a certain role in the formulation. I have to admit, there were quite a few ingredients I haven’t come across before, so I had to do a bit of research before diving it. After taking a look, I’m very impressed with how they put their formulas together!
About de Mamiel
Annee de Mamiel and her husband Chris are the creators of the line. Annee is a very respected acupuncturist in the UK and also happens to be an aromatherapist and esthetician. They hand make everything from ingredients sourced from independent farms in Australia, South Africa, and Morocco. The products are designed to work over time, correcting imbalances and healing your skin. They also offer 2 ranges of products to fight emotional stress and environmental stress.

The Hero: Intense Nurture Antioxidant Elixir
This is a very light serum with a very complex ingredient list. The powerhouse ingredients help to repair and protect your skin from emotional and environmental stress. For me, it’s the perfect consistency for a serum and I love how well it absorbs in and holds moisture in. It has multiple weights of sodium hyaluronate, along with prickly pear seed oil, superoxide dismutase, quercetin and more. Trust me, I wasn’t kidding when I said the list was complex! But truly that’s what really pulls me in with this elixir. It’s really packed with good stuff that helps to repair and to defend your skin on multiple levels. It also has such a pleasant scent that’s floral and slightly herbal. This normally retails for $135
The Sidekick: Exhale Daily Hydrating Nectar
Truly an incredibly light moisturizer! It’s tinted but the color just fades in, so I believe it would work for most skin tones. They’re not legally allowed to call this a tinted moisturizer with SPF here in the states since it hasn’t officially been rated by the FDA yet, but it is indeed a tinted moisturizer with SPF. Its been tested in the UK, so there and beyond you will see it sold with a label that reflects the SPF. The highlight is its silky smooth texture and how it gently evens out your skin tone. The deluxe sample size is worth $12
