Bare Hands Review: A Truly Natural Manicure
As much as I love a nice manicure, even the best nail polishes out there usually still have a few ingredients that aren’t so great, so I try to mix in keeping my nails bare sometimes. The only thing is that I hate when my nails don’t feel “done”. The perfect solution? A truly non-toxic manicure kit that gives you shiny, clean looking nails with minimal products. Let’s dive into my Bare Hands review and be sure to scroll down for a discount code!

Bare Hands Review
The Dry Gloss Manicure Kit
If you’ve ever been curious about a healthier alternative to nail polish that still makes your nails feel polished and put together, I’ve got the perfect solution! The Dry Gloss Manicure kit happens to be a great non-toxic, sustainable, at-home manicure option. The kit contains a glass polisher, plant-based cuticle oil, and a cleaning cloth and it all comes in a chic vegan leather case.
The polisher is unique. It’s made of glass and minerals and shaped so that you can easily navigate your nailbed and get right up to your cuticles. The cloth helps clean off your nails and the polisher. The last step is the cuticle oil which helps moisturize your cuticles and makes your nails look healthy and very polished.
How it works:
As I mentioned, the polisher is very unique. It gently binds the keratin cells of your nails together producing a glass-like shine AND feel. At first glance, you may compare it to a buffer or something similar but it is actually quite different. While buffing does smooth your nail and create shine, I’ve never had a buffer leave my nails looking like glass or create such lasting smoothness. Not only that, but it also removes excess cuticle while polishing your nails!
The polisher creates a bit of dust while you use it, so I’ve found the cloth comes in handy to wipe down nails and wipe down the polisher as well. After I’m done polishing, I wipe my nails down and apply the cuticle oil which comes in a brush pen dispenser. And voila! Bare, but polished nails!

Good to know…
While it’s relatively simple to use, there is a bit of a learning curve, especially the first couple of times that you use it. The glass polisher is very fine and you may need to get used to going with the curves of your nail beds, but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. After a couple of times using it, I started to get more familiar with how it worked and it became much easier!
Also, the shine lasts forever! While it may dull a tiny bit over time, your nails will be much smoother all the way until they grow out. You can touch up the shine at any time with the polisher and using the cuticle oil regularly helps as well.
For the nail polish lovers… I get it! I love a gorgeous nail polish too. Guess what? This dramatically changes how nail polish applies for the better! With that glass-like smoothness, polish glides on so easily and dries ultra-smooth and shiny. I love using the Dry Gloss Manicure Kit on a regular basis and then when I do occasionally paint my nails, I enjoy an even better result.
You can order a Dry Gloss Manicure Kit here and you get to choose which cuticle oil you’d like in the kit. They offer Citrine or unscented. The Citrine has a nice light citrusy scent. Use code MAISONPUR15 to save. The polisher lasts indefinitely, so you’ll enjoy many manicures to come without any harmful ingredients.
How is the health of your nails after prolonged use? Do you have peeling or thinning?
I haven’t had any issues. The results last a long time, so I don’t find myself touching up that often. I haven’t noticed any thinning or peeling, but as with any file/buffer, using it very may make nails a bit thinner.
