The November Discovery Featuring Activist

This month features a New Zealand based brand that focuses on the power of manūka honey. I’ve been a fan for a long time and can’t wait to share what’s inside this discovery. Let’s dive in!

While I love the more honey-centered products, I was very excited for this special body oil! Filled with nutrients and soothing, omega-rich ingredients, this body oil is perfect going into the colder months. As someone who gets a touch of eczema in the colder months, I was happy to see this had many ingredients to fight that. Manūka honey has been studied for its eczema healing abilities and this includes raw manūka oil. It also includes kawakawa, which relieves irritation and is good for eczema, as well as blue tansy which is very soothing.

Even if eczema isn’t a concern, this deeply moisturizing oil is divine to slip on after a shower or bath. I love how easily it absorbs and its subtle but unique scent. It’s bright with a bit of citrus and herbs while also having a tiny bit of grounding fir balsam.

Manūka Honey Mask 850+ MGO | 80 ml | ($75 retail)

A mask I know and love! This isn’t the first time I’ve shared this mask- most recently in my manūka honey benefits post. The key to this is the high concentrations of MGO, otherwise known as methylglyoxal. This is what gives manūka honey its powerful antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, healing benefits.

A true jack of all trades, this mask can help with breakouts or irritation, it also draws in moisture for dry skin, exfoliates, softens, is super gentle- the list goes on and on. It’s a sticky mask (it is honey after all!), so I recommend pulling your hair back pretty well before applying it. It rinses off pretty easily.
