Butterfly Baby Organics
I love finding indie brands for babies and their mamas, especially ones that are made by other mamas. You just know they put a ton of love and thought into each product, since they use it on their own babies and you also know that they have first hand knowledge about what kind of products you need to have around with little ones. As soon as I opened the box from Butterfly Baby Organics, I knew I would adore this line. Everything from the packaging to the actual products were both gorgeous and thoughtful.
Aimie Keigan, Founder of Butterfly Baby Organics, not only has the mama experience down pat (she has a 5 and a 3 year old), she’s also a registered nurse that specializes in pediatric massage and reflexology! Combine that with her passion for essential oils and natural products, and she’s pretty much the perfect candidate to develop a natural baby product line. The line goes way beyond babies though. Her wide selection includes products suitable for children and even for those tired, stressed moms. She’s spared no detail with these beautiful products and that’s evident as soon as you receive your order. I mean, how adorable and sweet is the packing?
Not only is your order boxed up nicely, but the actual packaging for the products are great too. I tried two different oil blends and they were both sent in a regular essential oil bottle that is easy to use with a diffuser or a number of other applications, but included was an empty rollerball bottle that I could easily use with either oil. I love that! Especially since sometimes I may want to diffuse the oils and sometimes I may want to just quickly apply them to myself.
The oils I tried were Get Some Zzz’s Sleepy Time Blend ($13.95) and Mama’s Stress Be Gone Blend ($14.95). I loved them both. The Sleepy Time Blend is complex and a little woodsy (to me at least), but elegant smelling. It’s very relaxing and definitely helps turn my mind off at night. The Stress Be Gone Blend is also deep and complex, but a little brighter and spicier. It offers an instant mood lift. I used that blend in the rollerball since that’s the one I’m frantically reaching for around 5:30 when I’m tying to get dinner started and everyone’s screaming (seriously, it’s either that or wine! What is it with that hour of the day?!).
We also tried the Cough and Congestion Rub ($9). Since we got it at the start of the summer, I was worried we wouldn’t have a chance to test it out, but wouldn’t you know.. We all got hit by one of those sneaky summer colds, so we were able to give this a pretty good test. It’s not as intense smelling as some of the natural rubs I’ve tried, which for me is a plus, especially for young babies that you don’t want to use anything too harsh on. It worked well for all of us with the cold. It didn’t make as much of a dent with my son’s late spring allergies, but really nothing has so far, so I can’t use that as a guide.
It’s hard not to fall in love with such a well thought out line, with lots of products to choose from! I think the Stress Be Gone was my favorite, but it’s hard to say. Have you tried this line? I definitely think you should and so does Aimie from Butterfly Baby Organics, so she’s generously offered a discount to my readers! Use code save25 to save 25% off your order. What will you try first?
