Discovering Vert Beauty
I love discovering clean beauty boutiques and though I wish we had more here locally, I’m happy to find some like VERT Beauty that curate a great selection of natural beauty products and ship straight to you. Not only do they carry some of the best brands, they’ve also created their own products which includes a line of sustainably made makeup brushes and some cosmetics. If you happen to be lucky enough to live close to them in Denver, you can even come in for some of their services they offer (how awesome would it be to get a facial with the best natural beauty products?). Since I already knew VERT Beauty has great taste from their product selection, I was excited to try some of the products they created.
Brushes
VERT Beauty’s makeup brushes are professional quality and so pretty! I love the wood handles. They’re also SO soft and do a great job of blending makeup. I was able to try the cheek contour brush and the crease shadow brush. The cheek contour is a great size for blush or bronzer and the tapered, slanted bristles allow a lot of precision while you apply makeup. The crease brush also is shaped well for a more controlled application. Both brushes are dense and hold a lot of whatever powder product you’re using.
Eyeliner
Talk about rich color! I’m really loving VERT Beauty’s eyeliners. I received violet, bleu (dark blue), and cuivre (copper) and all are so gorgeous. I’ve been sent colored liners to try before and mostly they just haven’t felt like my style. These are much more understated. While they are richly pigmented, they all seem very toned down once applied. The blue could almost pass for navy and I actually love wearing navy liner. The purple is also somewhat dark and manages to make my blue-green eyes pop without looking like bold, 80’s liner. The copper is just gorgeous. It has a neutral, metallic tone that would look just as gorgeous on brown eyes as it does on my light colored eyes. All of the liners are pencils and they glide on without any tugging. The biggest question with eyeliner is always, will it last? The answer with these is yes! I even had some purple leftover around my eyes the other morning after I thought I had given my face a good scrubbing the night before.
Concealer
Their concealer comes in 3 shades and is also in a pencil (although a much thicker one). It has a creamy texture and a matte finish. It’s very easy to apply and blend and seems to be long lasting. I tried Lumiére, which is for moderately fair complexions. While it wasn’t a perfect match for my skin, I’m definitely able to blend it and make it work.
This week is a week of deals! So if you’re interested in trying their products, here’s what they have going on for the holiday weekend: Black Friday – 15% off entire purchase, 30% off services booked online, and free shipping. They are also having a special deal on Cyber Monday, but it won’t be announced until Friday night. And stay tuned, I’ll be sharing more black Friday deals very soon! Happy shopping xoxo
