Our Favorite Nontoxic Bath Products For Kids

Several nontoxic bath products for kids arranged on counter

Splish Splash! Shortly after having our first child, I realized just how crucial bath time was to everything from our bedtime routine to calming a fussy baby, to an emergency clean up after a messy meal or worse! The last thing you want to worry about in those moments is what’s in your bath products. You want something safe, effective, and fun! I’ve got you covered with our family’s favorite nontoxic bath products for kids. All of these are great for toddlers and up.

Nontoxic Bath Products For Kids

Pleni Naturals on the edge of bath tub with child and bath letters behind it.

Body Wash & Shampoo

We’ve used Pleni Naturals for the last few years and love the orange scent and fun packaging! The largest size even has a pump which makes washing slippery babies and toddlers super easy. This does double duty as shampoo, so Carson washes himself head to toe with it. A pump or two into the tub, while you’re running the bath, makes a nice amount of bubbles too! Use code MAISONPUR20 to save. (Find them on Amazon too)

Annabelle’s long fine hair now requires a little bit more help to keep the tangles at bay. There are a few different brands we use for her, but currently, we’ve been using Innersense Organics Shampoo and Conditioner. We also love the leave-in conditioner to detangle Annabelle’s hair after bath time.

Creams & Lotions

Kosmatology’s Lotion bar is genius! It’s in a solid form that’s easy enough for young kids to apply to themselves. The Goody Goody Grapefruit smells wonderful and is long-lasting. It works for all skin types, as a bonus, it’s designed to help with eczema on babies and children. Their Lotion Bars aren’t just for kids! I’m a big fan of them too.

Zoe Organics has one of the best natural baby creams out there. It’s so soothing and gentle, and it moisturizes deeply. This is another one that’s great for babies, kids, and adults! Use code MAISONPUR to save on their site!

Multi-purpose & Lip Balms

For dry patches, chapped cheeks, and more, we use Zoe Organics Everything Balm. You can use it from your lips to your toes! This is another one that is easy to apply and the kids love using it on themselves.

During the winter months, the kids love to keep a lip balm on hand that they can toss into their backpacks, pockets, or stash in my purse (as they often do). Dr. Bronner’s has a great one that’s just a couple of bucks and I can usually find it at Target. We also love Meow Meow Tweet’s lip balm and Blue Heron Botanicals lip balms which are both completely plastic-free!

Don’t Forget Their Teeth!

We’re big fans of RiseWell toothpaste. The kid’s version comes in cake batter flavor and the kids say it’s their favorite toothpaste that they’ve ever tried! (We happen to like the adult version, too). It’s a wonderful toothpaste that remineralizes teeth and uses hydroxyapatite which has been shown to strengthen teeth just as well (if not better than) fluoride.

Finding a good floss without PFAS can be tough, but our vote also goes to RiseWell. Both kids love it and mom and dad love it too. It has just enough texture to really clean between teeth but also slips through nicely. Use code MAISONPUR10 to save at their site!

Natural lotion bar and hand soap on counter

Hand Soap

I’d be remiss not to mention hand soap as it’s THE most used product in our bathroom. We’ve been long time fans of Kosmatology, especially since their foaming soap has fun scents without harsh synthetic fragrances. All of their scents are nice, but I’m partial to Lemon Lovers and Goody Goody Grapefruit!

Also, you can keep up with our current favorite products over on my favorites page, in case you’re ever wondering what I’m currently using!
