July Beauty Heroes
Did you miss me? It feels weird that it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve blogged, but I’m happy to be back! As I mentioned a couple of posts back, we were in the process of moving and to be honest, I think we bit off a little more than we could chew. We had just over a week’s worth of overlap between the old house and new house and decided to use that time to tackle a bunch of projects before we moved in (Replacing the HVAC, building a fence, painting, etc). Yikes. I think we forgot to factor in all the packing that was supposed to be taking place at the old house before we moved. In any case, we’re moved in! Swimming in a sea of boxes, but happy to start getting back to normal. So I’m finally sharing the July Beauty Heroes box just under the wire for you to order one for yourself! But it’s a good one, so I couldn’t not share.
I happen to be a huge fan of Kari Gran, so when I found out this month’s box featured a new release that they’ve been working on for a while, I was very excited! Kari Gran keeps their product line up to just the essentials and each item has been well thought out and developed. Three Sixty Five SPF 28 is their newest product to add to the lineup and in keeping with the rest of their line, it works well and also looks chic on your vanity.
If you’re familiar with Kari Gran, then you know they like to keep your routine simple and clean, and they’ve built their skincare routine around a streamlined, three step routine. Three Sixty Five SPF 28 completes your morning routine as the third step, while offering you additional moisture and SPF protection. The side kick this month happens to be a mini kit of three skincare items to help you have the full Kari Gran experience.
Three Sixty Five SPF 28 goes on easy (some natural sunscreens can be thick) and absorbs in quickly. Since it’s made from physical sun blockers rather than chemical blockers, be sure to completely massage it in since any spots not rubbed in may leave a slight white cast. It’s a completely waterless formula and definitely gives your skin a moisture boost. I’ve worn this for hours at the pool without reapplying and it did such a good job of protecting my skin, I felt like I barely even had any sun on my face. I was concerned it may be too moisturizing to wear under makeup, but that’s not the case at all. Since it absorbs right in, I’ve had no issues with wearing makeup with it. And the ingredients are pretty much the best you could ask for. Everything is there for a reason and beneficial for your skin. Here’s a complete list:
non-nano zinc oxide, non-gmo red raspberry seed oil (rubus idaeus seed oil, organic macadamia nut oil (macadamia ternifolia seed oil, non-gmo kukui oil (aleurites moluccana seed oil), non-gmo French plum oil (prunus domestica seed oil), organic avocado oil (persea gratissima oil), organic jojoba oil (simmondsia chinensis seed oil), beeswax, tocopherols
As for the side kick- you are in for a treat! I first tried the mini kit last fall and just loved the concept of the three step system. I was really pleased with each item and especially fell in love with the Hydrating Tonic. So for a complete routine, here is what Kari Gran recommends:
Morning– Start with the Hydrating Tonic, followed by the Essential Serum, and then finish with Three Sixty Five SPF 28.
Evening– Use the Cleansing Oil first, followed by the Hydrating Tonic, and then the Essential Serum.
So easy right? If you’ve been wanting to try Kari Gran, this is a great introduction since you get to try their entire skincare lineup. I’ve been consistently pleased with the brands that Beauty Heroes selects each month, but it’s always fun to find one of my favorites included! If you want to try the July box, you can order here. Just be sure to order by July 20th. I usually try to share these boxes with you sooner to give you more time to order, so I’m sorry I’m so late this month! But there is still time for those interested. As always, Beauty Heroes members can shop their beauty store and get 15% off everything. They’re even carrying Kari Gran Lip Whips, which I’m completely addicted too. Happy Friday everyone! xo
