Haute C is the star of this box and includes tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (tetra-C for short) which is a very stable form of vitamin c and in clinical studies, Tetra C was proven to improve skin’s appearance of collagen synthesis, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and aggressively reduce blemishes. How’s that for a hero?
They also included Ferulic acid to boost the antioxidant potency in the formula and niacinamide to support the function of the skin barrier as well as its ability to regulate sebum production. The consistency is similar to a light, milky serum. It absorbs in really well, but I’ve found it best to wait a few minutes after I’ve applied it to layer anything on top. It’s very hydrating and has a very slight herbal, botanical scent. Normally retails for $125
The Sidekick
Dewy Bean Dream is a jelly mask you wear overnight and it’s star ingredient is moth bean, which is a Vitamin A-rich legume that has been lauded as a natural answer to synthetic retinol, along with a trilogy of niacinamide, lactic and glycolic acid that work over night to gently lift away dry skin. In layman’s terms, you wake up with plumped up, smooth skin.
They recommend using it 3-5 times a week. This is perfect to layer over the serum above for the ultimate skin treatment. I’ve found it to be a little bit tacky when first applied (I am in the hot, humid south) but it does dry into a matte finish within about 30 minutes, so. usually factor that in when applying it before bed. Normally retails for $110.
