March Kloverbox
If you’re into making better choices for the products you’re using on yourself and your family, chances are you’re making more thoughtful choices on everything you bring into your home. That’s why I loved the March Kloverbox. This month’s box touched on a few different areas of your home and life and only included one beauty product. Which makes perfect sense, because the conscious consumer is probably looking for better products for their whole life, not just their beauty cabinet. Each product in this month’s box has been useful and a new brand introduction for me, so I was eager to share them with you!
Buckaroo Organics Soapberry Suds Laundry Detergent
I was so surprised and happy to find this laundry detergent in my box. I’m a huge fan of soapberries and used them for a while to do my laundry, but then we got our puppy Frankie, who came to us with a few health issues, including throwing up.. A LOT. Our house has been covered in towels and blankets the last few months to protect the furniture and rugs, but I found the smell (sorry to get graphic here) wasn’t coming out with just the soapberries when I washed them. I turned to some Honest Co. detergent I had from ages ago, but then the news broke about it possibly containing a little more than they disclosed and I was back at square one. This detergent has been the answer. It’s made from ground up soapberries, but also has sodium carbonate (washing soda), baking soda, and sodium percarbonate (alternative form of hydrogen peroxide) which all pack quite an all natural punch to your laundry to really get stains and smells out of your laundry. Frankie’s been slowing down on the messes he makes, but I think I may still make this our main laundry detergent.
Vana Body Coconut Clay Mask
This was the only beauty product in this month’s box, which was nice since I don’t love trying out multiple products on my face around the same time. Vana Body uses vegan, organic, cold-pressed virgin oils, botanicals and clays. This mask was designed with healing ingredients to help with treating acne, wrinkles, and other inflammatory issues. The mask comes as a powder and you can mix it with any liquid of your choice, then apply on your face, let dry and rinse it off. It’s easy to mix and to apply. I tend to bounce around with masks, going with whatever mood I’m in, but this definitely has some awesome ingredients, so I’m sure repeated use of it would yield some results. Especially in the acne department.
Bagito Reusable Shopping bag
This bag was a joint effort between Inkredible Image, Bagito, and Kloverbox! They worked together to create a 100% rPet (recycled plastic) bag. Each Bagito bag keeps 25 plastic bottles out of the landfill and on top of that, they help fund environmental literature for students. Inkredible is also applause worthy as they are an environmentally conscious screen printing company that even has onsite solar power! I love the size of this bag. It can hold up to 25 pounds of groceries (or anything else) and it comes with an attached small pouch that you can neatly tuck the bag into. It even has a clip so you can keep on your key chain or somewhere handy so you don’t forget it on your grocery run. That’s half the battle for me. I always forget my bags at home, but now I’m out of excuses!
Paddywax Soy Candle
As I’ve shared on here before, traditional candles can add to the indoor air pollution in your home, so soy wax or bee’s wax is the way to go. I’m always on the hunt for quality, safe candles, so this was another item that I was excited to find in the box. I have to admit that I was pretty suspicious of the scent when I first opened it. It has a pretty strong smell and most naturally derived scents are a bit lighter. I contacted Kloverbox who was able to provide me with some info from Paddywax stating that they take pride in never offering products with synthetic fragrance and instead push themselves to produce something natural and unique. That being said, I don’t have an ingredient list for you, so use your own discretion. As for the candle, I really like the scent that I received- Rosemary Sea Salt. It’s a bit stronger than most natural candles, but it’s a nice, crisp scent.
I love that this is more of a conscious lifestyle theme this month. Kloverbox changes up what type of products they offer each month and sometimes you’ll find more personal care products or even some snacks. They also provide discount codes for many of the products included so you can buy more of your favorites! Want to give Kloverbox a try? Sign up here. Depending on what type of subscription you choose it runs between $22.50-$25 per box. What are your thoughts? Do you like boxes that offer a mix of products from different categories? xo
