Natural Joy

I’ve been so amazed in recent weeks by just how far the natural beauty movement has come and how much mainstream attention it’s starting to get. It’s growing by the day and as more consumers become aware, so do personal care brands and retailers. It seems that many have caught on that green and natural sells, which also means a lot of companies are now trying to push their products as natural when they’re really not. While it may be hard to spot which ones are truly natural in the store aisles, fortunately for us, there are some all natural retailers that have done the hard work for you and only carry brands that adhere to their strict, all-natural standards.

Natural Joy happens to be one of those retailers and they mean business when it comes to their standards. They have an extensive list of sketchy ingredients that you’ll never find in the products they carry. Instead, what you will find is a large selection of natural products that all work well and are pretty affordable. In addition to their website, they also have a retail location in West Jordan, UT that may be one of the cutest shops I’ve ever seen!

I was able to try a few things from Natural Joy, including Lauren Brooke’s Luminous Eyes corrective concealer. It’s soft peach color is made to cover dark circles and help conceal bags under your eyes. I have been so impressed by this product! The peach color truly does cover dark circles, yet still manages to blend in perfectly to my skin. This has quickly become my go-to under eye concealer in the mornings. In fact, I’ve been so impressed with it, that I’m thinking about trying some more products from Lauren Brooke’s line. Cost: $14.00

Piper Wai has been one of my favorite natural deodorants, but with their recent formula change, they’ve brought in some ingredients that many are on the fence about and some just won’t touch. Natural Joy decided it was time to find a suitable replacement with better ingredients and indeed they did! Elan Coconut Clay Charcoal deodorant is very comparable to Piper Wai, in my opinion. It rubs in easy and lasts all day long. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a good natural deodorant and it’s also a good replacement for any PW fans out there that don’t want to use the new formula. Cost: $12.95

I also had a chance to try Purple Moon Naturals Mega Moisture body lotion in Peachy Keen. The lotion is thick and rich and this particular scent was sweet and fruity. Purple Moon Naturals makes a wide range of body care items that are all made with 100% natural ingredients. Cost: $14.95

In the mood to do some shopping? Natural Joy is generously offering my readers a 20% discount now through October 15th. Just use code MP20 at checkout. I highly recommend checking out the Lauren Brooke line!

  1. Thank you for this post. I had no idea PW had reformulated. I’m learning that I need to read the ingredients list before each purchase or vow to buy from companies that just won’t stock the nasties. Integrity Botanicals is another company that has super high standards.

I’m definitely going to check out Natural Joy. Thanks so much for the discount code!

  2. It’s tough to keep up with sometimes. I have also reordered products only to find a new (not as clean) ingredient. PW added Japanese HoneySuckle Extract which contains some naturally occurring parabens. Most true green beauties stay clear of it, but there is some debate about it’s safety. Thanks for reading. xx
