Hi guys! I have a nice round up of a few products I’ve been loving, what I haven’t and some other thoughts. I’ve been testing out a lot of skincare since this summer, so slowly those reviews are rolling in (it’s takes me a while to test skincare items) and more recently I’ve been on a haircare wave, so you can expect a couple of reviews on that in the near future too. On top of that, I’ve had some other pretty amazing products hit my desk recently that I can’t wait to finish testing out and share with you- soon I promise! So let’s get to what’s happening now.

Zoe Cream

First up, a brand I love, that is also a cold weather essential: Zoe Organics. I love their Breathe Balm, Everything Balm, Cream and Refresh Oil for all the winter ailments that are about to be upon us. They’re being carried at Target (Hooray!) and until December Zoe Organics’ line is 10% off at Target- perfect timing to stock up before the cold and yucky germs set in. I’ve gotten a lot of comments from people saying they couldn’t find them in their Target stores. The good news is that Zoe Organics is carried at over 1,000 Target stores, so chances are they are at a store near you. The thing is, you may not find them where you’d expect. Target carries it in their women’s health section by the pharmacy (think tampons, pregnancy tests, etc.). The reason is that so many of the products there are geared towards pregnant or lactating women, who are generally seeking more natural, healthier products. Look for them on your next Target run.

Talia's Eco Scents

Next up, Talia’s Eco Scents. Their light body oil sinks into skin immediately and leaves a lovely scent behind. It’s rare to find body oils with long lasting fragrances that are scented only with natural ingredients, but Talia’s Eco Scents are just that. Their scents are no wallflowers. They greet you immediately upon opening the bottle and linger on your skin for a long while. I personally love when a body oil can double as perfume. My favorite scent out of the two I tried is the Lavender and aged patchouli. They come in nicely sized glass bottles, as well.

15ml_restorativeeyecreme

I shared before that I had been using Tata Harper’s Eye Cream. After over 4 or 5 months of use, I think I can safely say how I feel about it. Sorry Tata, I have a lot of love for your other products, especially the Resurfacing Mask, but this just wasn’t a hit for me. On the plus side, this creamy lotion has an amazing, silky texture and feels great on the skin. It also has a nice scent and has lasted for much longer than I thought- I believe I’m getting close to the end, but it’s hard to tell. In any case, for $90 a bottle I need to see some results. It didn’t help my under eye puffiness, dark circles, or fine lines. So I’m back to the drawing board, testing out eye creams.

A post that recently hit home with me was this one by Sarita Coren. She breaks down the blogger/brand relationship and speaks so eloquently about the topic. I’ve mostly come across super professional, friendly brands, but it’s always uncomfortable when expectations don’t meet between a blogger and a brand. I feel like she echoes so many of my own thoughts in the interview. Especially regarding timelines and being compensated for reviews. I never accept sponsored posts and I never accept products in exchange for a guaranteed review, but you’d be surprised how often I get approached to for things like that. Everything I post about here and on social media are things I’ve personally tested and genuinely liked.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Check back in next week for some exciting things I have lined up! xoxo
