If there’s one area you need to switch to natural in ASAP, it’s your children’s products. Their developing bodies are much less equipped than ours’ at processing and eliminating toxins they encounter on a day to day basis. Most stores have a whole aisle of kid’s products that are full of junk that disrupt hormones, cause endocrine problems, have been linked to cancer, cause allergies and more. Even the ones marked as “natural” are usually just a marketing scam that fool moms into thinking they’re making a healthier choice for their kids. Green-washing is real. Brands know that parents will pay more for natural looking products, but it’s much easier to just market them as natural than to actually change over to a natural formula. The great news is that there are SO many great brands and products to choose from these days that actually ARE natural. I’ve rounded up some of our favorites. Here’s what we keep on regular rotation and some of the essentials in our daily routine!

Zoe Organics

All our favorite non-toxic kid's bath productsZoe Organics This is a brand that’s been in rotation at our house for a while now. We love their Everything Balm for dry patches, chapped lips and because it’s easy to apply and the kids even like to apply it themselves. We also use their Cream for all over hydration after the bath and I use it for my hands in the winter. Also, their Breathe Balm and Refresh Oil are great alternatives to medicine! You can buy from their site or find it at Target.

Pleni Naturals

All of our favorite non-toxic kid's bath products Pleni NaturalsThis is what we’re currently using to wash the kids and what we use to wash Carson’s hair. It’s an all-in-one baby wash that’s great for young babies up to older kids. My kids really like the packaging and sometimes even make up stories about the little characters on the bottles. It’s so cute! We also use the balm for really dry areas and the baby oil to moisturize after the bath sometimes. You can buy it directly from their site or on Amazon. Stay tuned on Instagram tomorrow, we’ve teamed up for something fun!

Flourish Shampoo and Conditioner

All of our favorite non-toxic kid's bath products: Lavender Mint Flourish shampoo and conditionerAnnabelle has long thick hair (especially for a three year old), but it’s still very fine. We were using an all-in-one wash (not the Pleni Naturals one above) and her hair was starting to look stringy. She happened to take a bath in my bathroom one day and I used my own products on her, including this shampoo and conditioner from Flourish. I couldn’t believe the difference it made when her hair dried! It was light and bouncy and silky smooth. I felt like an idiot for not thinking to use real shampoo and conditioner on her sooner. We switched her over immediately and haven’t looked back. It’s also lasted forever on her since I don’t have to use too much. Another fun fact, lice dislike mint and a lot of natural lice products include mint, so I feel like this  Lavender Mint + Clover scent hopefully also helps on the end while she’s at preschool (nobody wants none of that). You can find it on their site.

Water Wipes

All our favorite non-toxic kid's bath products Water Wipes

The kids are out of diapers, but somehow we still use wipes daily. From wiping down little faces to keeping them in the car for quick cleanups, I think this is a mom essential! Water wipes are still the cleanest wipes I’ve found and widely carried. Buy them here.

Kosmatology

All of our favorite non-toxic kid's bath products: KosmatologyAnother long time favorite in our house is Kosmatology. We’re currently out, but their body wash is gentle and perfect for kids with sensitive skin and the lotion bars are pretty awesome for kids. Very easy to apply and they’re not greasy. The founder is a pharmacist that first created products to heal her own baby daughter’s eczema. The Goody Goody Grapefruit scent is especially designed to help with this. She also offers non-scented for sensitive skin. Find these at their site.

Jack N’ Jill Toothpaste

All our favorite kid's bath products jack n jill toothpasteI’ve had a hard time finding a children’s toothpaste that I’m 100% satisfied with. I know I’m really picky, especially about my kid’s products, so I may try to make my own at some point. Until then, this is what we’ve been using. The kids love the banana flavor. I only wish the tube was bigger! You can also find this at The Choosy Chick.

Jacq’s Organics Bath Bombs

All of our favorite non-toxic bath products bath bombsThis is just a once in a while treat, but the kids love these! They’re all natural and have none of the junk in them that brands like Lush have. My daughter loves that the Hibiscus and Aloe one turns the water pink and my son loves the So Fresh and So Clean scent. You can find them here.

There are definitely other brands we like and use from time to time, but if you were to come snoop in my kid’s bathroom these are pretty much what you’d find any given day. I’m always happy to suggest more options to anyone who wants to switch over their kid’s products to natural but haven’t yet- Just comment below or send me an email at [email protected]. Any product categories I missed? Let me know and I can add them in. xo
