The Hero
This month’s hero is Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil. Whether you love oil cleansing or have never tried it, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! This is truly a light weight oil blend that gets to work quickly on makeup, oily skin, and heavier products like sunscreen, and then melts it all away. It also emulsifies once you add a bit of water, which I love, and rinses clean without stripping my skin. It also has the perfect amount of slip to gently massage makeup off, in my opinion.
Of course, the ingredients here deserve a shout out. They’ve used a blend of castor oil, olive oil, rosehip CO2, jasmine essential oil, and more to create a brightening and nourishing blend. It helps repair scars and blemishes and has such a beautiful floral and slightly herbal scent. It’s a generous size and normally retails for $56.
The Sidekick(s)
The Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser is the perfect follow up or alternative option to the oil cleanser above. As the name suggests, this cleanser is super gentle. I love the creamy texture and beautiful rose scent. It can also tackle makeup and oil, and leaves my skin feeling moisturized.
This was developed to be used either separately or in a double cleanse with Light Work. I do tend to prefer to double cleanse when I oil cleanse, meaning I follow up my oil cleansing with a regular cleanser, and both of these work nicely together without over cleansing. I love the generous size! Even better? It comes with Dual-Effect Sensitive Skin Cloth, which has a textured muslin side for gentle exfoliation and a terry side to help gently remove makeup. This set normally retails for $69
Lastly, included is a travel-sized Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator. This is really unique! It’s a gel that you apply to dry skin. Then you activate with water and as you massage, tiny jojoba beads gently exfoliate. This would normally be $10.
