Splurge vs. Save

If you’re like me, your beauty product lust list is a mile long! There are so many luxe clean beauty products out there, which makes it hard to figure out which ones are worth the splurge. To make your life easier, I’ve rounded up my favorite splurge-worthy products so you can know they have the Maison Pur seal of approval. And just maybe it’s January and you totally blew it out last month so you’d rather not read all about these pricey gorgeous products- but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with equally lust-worthy alternatives that will leave your wallet intact.

Eye Cream:

Tata Harper Restorative Eye Cream– It’s hard not to get sucked into Tata Harper’s gold and green world of luxury. All of the products I’ve tried from this brand have truly been amazing from the packaging to the smell to the performance. This eye cream helps with puffy eyes, darks circles and signs of aging. It has a nice consistency and goes on smoothly. With a stellar ingredient list which delivers results, this is a worth while splurge.

100% Pure Eye Cream– This is the eye cream I use every morning to combat the bags that have become a way of life for me (I blame the smaller child). This does a great job at shrinking them up and diminishing any dark circles. It also provides really good moisture around my eye area. While you may see more benefits long term with the Tata Harper eye cream, this one works perfectly well for your day to day needs.

Mascara:

Kjaer Weis Mascara– A cult favorite that gets rave reviews from all who try it. With its long-lasting formula that lengthens and defines, your lashes will look gorgeous. I will say that despite the initial price tag, you can purchase refills for the tube for $28. Full disclosure: I’ve never personally tried this mascara although everyone I know who’s tried it loved it.

W3ll People Expressionist Bio Mascara–  This mascara is no joke. It gives volume, definition, and length- all at an easy to swallow price. This is one of my top natural mascaras I recommend to people switching to natural versions. It was sold out at several places when I was writing this. I think that’s the best compliment a product can get.

Skin Balm:

One Love Organics Skin Savior– It’s no secret I’m in love with One Love Organics’ products and their Skin Savior is no exception! True to form, it smells divine and delivers luxurious moisture wherever you need it. It’s been so cold and dry here, I’ve been drenching myself in it the last few nights. One of my must-have products for sure.

Silkka Garden Apothecary Sweet Orange + Mango Body Balm– Ahhh talk about amazing smelling products! I love using this balm and the light, gorgeous scent it gives me after. This body balm melts into your skin and gives intense moisture all anywhere you need it. And you really can’t beat the price.

Night Cream:

Kahina Giving Beauty Night Cream– This is so moisturizing and has saved my skin this winter. It has awesome ingredients that helps moisturize skin while building collagen and improving skin tone. I highly recommend this night cream!

Acure Organics Radical Wrinkle Complex– This brand always provides products that perform and this moisturizer is no exception. This is a good alternative to those pricier night creams that will also combat aging.

Face Masks:

May Lindstrom The Problem Solver Mask– the myth, the legend… This stuff gets talked about often and for good reason. It really does balance your skin by clearing up blemishes and increasing blood flow to your skin. Using it is quite an experience! When you mix the dark powder with water and apply it to your skin it immediately brings a rush of warmth to your face. This is a pricey mask for sure, but if you’re dealing with oily, blemish-prone skin, this is a must.

Leahlani Skincare Mermaid Mask– This mask.. I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful it is for your skin. This green mask will leave your skin clear and glowing! They call it super food for your skin and it truly is. Raw Hawaiian honey mixed with things like Chlorella, Sea Buckthorn, Hawaiian Spirulina and luminess Algae, means this not only helps to clear your skin but it also delivers moisture and nutrients. This is on almost every green beauty blogger’s Holy Grail list for good reason and it’s easy on the wallet!
