It’s officially July, meaning we’re halfway through 2020! Man, do I have mixed thoughts on that lol, but suffice to say we are trying to make the most of things here and make sure the kids still have a fun summer. That includes building a pretty epic treehouse and zipline in the backyard! We’re excited to wrap that project up and get on with the summer fun. In the meantime, here are 7 things for July!

7 Things For July

One. A sustainable Deodorant Option

Zero waste deodorant with no plastic

I had a feeling we’d see some innovative ways to address packaging this year and sure enough, there have been some fantastic launches! Cleo + Coco launched a zero-waste deodorant which is a bar that’s dipped in biodegradable wax on one end and comes with a reusable organic cotton pouch for storage. How genius is that? I’m loving the Blue Tansy scent! Find it here.

Two. Healthier Hand Sanitizer

I’ve had so many questions about healthier hand sanitizers that are safe for kids and won’t dry out hands. While almost all of the healthier ones I recommend went out of stock early this year, Organic Bath Co. came up with their own version and I’m loving the fun scent and perfect size for on the go. It’s fully stocked up at AILLEA and only $8, so grab some while you can!

Three. Keep Those Hands Moisturized

Since we’ve all been washing and sanitizing our hands so much, it’s easy to make them dry. Organic Bath Co. is at it again and made a matching citrusy-scented body butter to go with the sanitizer above. If you haven’t experienced their whipped body butter, you are definitely missing out! So decadent and the perfect way to bring your hands back to normal.

Four. The Best Way To Keep Teeth Clean

I’ve been testing out RiseWell toothpaste and the rest of their oral care line and let me say, this is the real deal!! Very clean ingredients, great flavors (my kids can’t get enough of the cake batter flavor!), and impressive formulation. It skips all the bad stuff and uses hydroxyapatite to strengthen and remineralize teeth. It’s been widely studied in Japan and used for decades there with success. It’s even been shown to strengthen teeth just as much, if not more than fluoride. Find it here and use code MAISONPUR10 to save!

Five. The Best Post Workout Duo

Body Gel and bath soak on side of bath tub

I got hooked on Indie Lee’s I-Recover Mind & Body Gel last summer while hearing her speak here locally. Someone came around the room and applied it to pressure points and the nape of my neck and wow! It’s perfect for stress or tired muscles. It combines arnica, black pepper, lavender, and more.

The bath soak has a similar makeup with a few more things like Dead Sea and Himalayan Salts. The soak makes tired muscles melt into the bath and the gel instantly relaxes me. These are my new must-haves! Find them here.

Six. All-Natural Luxury Makeup Sponge

Most foam or items made from foam have some unwanted additives, so Jenny Patinkin set out to make one that’s vegan, truly nontoxic (no additives) and has a velvety feel. I’ve been loving the ultra-soft makeup sponge duo. It comes with one standard size sponge and another much smaller sponge, that’s perfect for getting the edges of your nose or more detailed makeup applications. One of the smoothest sponges I’ve tried! They even have a non-toxic, vegan soap to clean the sponges with. You find the set here.

Seven. A New Launch From Detox Mode

Yes, another deodorant! It is July, after all. After going so many years with (frankly) terrible natural deodorant choices, I feel so spoiled to now be able to choose from so many that actually WORK. The two latest from Detox Mode certainly add to the choices that work well. They offer 2 versions: Feeling Altogether, which has a beautiful neroli and cardamom scent, and Feeling Free, which is baking soda-free and has charcoal and lavender. Both come in convenient twist-up sticks! Find them here

Hope you all have a safe and happy fourth! xoxo
