Save vs. Splurge
Time for another round of Save vs. Splurge! Green beauty’s getting bigger, which means more choices. While some products are 100% worth the splurge, sometimes scoring a great product at a great price can be extremely satisfying. It’s all about balance. Whether you’re in the mood to treat yo’ self or you want to add in some budget-friendly items, you decide: Save vs. splurge?
Eye Serum Rollers
Splurge– If you’ve been a reader for any length of time, you know how much I love anything from Josh Rosebrook. His Oculus Formula is no exception. A lovely and very effective blend of oils absorbs in fast to moisturize, soothe, depuff, firm skin and more. Like all things from Josh Rosebrook, it’s expertly formulated using the best of the best ingredients and the price tag shows it: $70
Save– Grace + Tonic Botanical Beauty is the new kid on the block and they just hit Target! The Grace + Tonic Eye Serum absorbs in quickly and boasts many of the same benefits as the splurge eye-roller, but at less than half the price: $29.99
Eye Shadow Palettes
Splurge– I’m absolutely in love with the Rose Quartz Crystal Gemstone eye palette from Āether Beauty. It has a whopping 12 gorgeous shadows and each has the most perfect tone and some dimension. I can’t sing its praises enough… It is well worth the high price tag: $58
Save– A palette I also love! Ere Perez Chamomile Eyeshadow palette in Pretty has some similar colors as the palette above and a mix of matte and shimmery also. It has fewer shades, and in turn, the price tag is much more palatable: $34
Mud Cleansers
Splurge– The Holy Grail: May Lindstrom The Honey Mud does double duty as a cleanser and a mask and is known for leaving skin clean, smooth, and moisturized. It also smells amazing. The price reflects its lust-worthy status: $90
Save– Another pick from the lovely Grace + Tonic line. Their Cleansing Mud does a great job of gently cleansing skin while leaving it moisturized and smooth. A great, luxurious-feeling product for the price: $24.99
Floral Mists
Splurge– Tata Harper is known as a luxury brand, so their Hydrating Floral Essence follows suit with beautiful packaging and a pretty floral scent. It also has a luxury price tag: $89
Save– Live Botanical’s Fleur De Terre Lavender + Violet Calming Elixir gives the mist above a run for its money. It contains many of the same key ingredients, yet leaves out the soy and corn ingredients that I really didn’t care for in Tata’s mist. It also happens to have a beautiful floral scent and a more reasonable price: $34 (And to sweeten it, use code MAISONPUR for 15% off)
Rejuvenating Bath Salts
Splurge– Pursoma Resurrection Bath has quite a blend of specially sources clays, salts, seaweed, and algae. It’s a great way to unwind and even as a splurge has an alright price: $36
Save– Osmia Recovery Salt Bath includes Epsom salt for magnesium and some calming and moisturizing ingredients as well. It’s relaxing and the magnesium good for promoting sleep. Though the price is only slightly cheaper than the splurge, you also get slightly more product with this one. $29
Whether you save or splurge, there are plenty of great picks! What product categories do you want to see covered in the next Save vs. Splurge post?
