April + May Glowing Beets Review

You guys know I love a good subscription box, and lately Glowing Beets has been killing it! The last two month’s boxes featured some of my favorite brands along side some brands I haven’t tried before. This box is always such a great deal. Every box I’ve gotten from them always features at least one or two full size products (often more!) and they’re always relevant products. I say relevant because because everything is useful, seasonally appropriate and the brands are always stellar. These are either products I’ve been wanting to try or that I already know and love. I can’t wait to share what was in the April and May boxes, but I’m also very excited because I’ve teamed up with Glowing Beets for a  giveaway of one of their June boxes over on my Instagram page! Now let’s chat about what was inside the last two month’s boxes.

April Glowing Beets Box

To say I was excited when I opened the April box would be just a teeny bit of an understatement. I mean, three full size products from Zoe Organics?! Everything in the box has been a home run for me. All were either past favorites or things I’ve wanted to try. Here’s what was inside:

Zoe Organics Glowing Beets

Zoe Organics Breathe Balm, Cream, and Everything Balm– Look familiar? Probably because I’ve talked about all three of these products a lot! They’re all staples in our house. The Breathe Balm works wonders for sniffly little noses and we’ve been using it a lot during allergy season. Both my husband and my son get really congested this time of year and it’s great to have a safe option. The Everything Balm is in a twist up tube just like the Breathe Balm and can be used for just about anything! Eczema patches, dry lips, after sun moisture, you name it. I love that the kids can apply it themselves right from the tube. Their Cream is one of my favorite products. It works wonders for little ones, but it also happens to be a quick fix for dry hands and I find myself using it through out the day. These are all must-haves for any household.

Glowing Beets Buckaroo Organics

Buckaroo Soapberry Suds– I tried this laundry detergent earlier this year and I was really impressed! I already liked using soap nuts (soap berries), but this detergent takes it up a notch by grinding them up and adding baking soda, washing soda, and sodium percarbonate (made from hydrogen peroxide). These clean your clothes and remove odors and I’ve had really good luck with stain removal using this. They included 3 one-use samples, so you can try it on a variety of laundry. I think I’ll probably switch over to this detergent permanently after I run out of my soap nuts.

Suntegrity Glowing Beets

Suntegrity’s new Lip C.P.R.– I’m already a big fan of Suntegrity, so I was excited to try their new SPF 30 lipsticks. These  lived up to the Suntegrity standard! They have rich, lasting color, great ingredients and perform great. The box included a sample of two different shades. I initially thought they’d be sheer, but they are truly lipsticks, so you can rock a bold lip all summer- even at the pool!

Erth Minerals

Erth Minerals Eyeshadow and Firm Eyeshadow Brush– This nice, bronzy-brown is universally flattering. It’s got a light pearl finish and the included brush is pretty amazing. The bristles are densely packed and give you great control with application. This brand is new to me, but so far I’m really liking them!

May Glowing Beets Box

May Glowing Beets

Another home run with two awesome brands. One of which I’m already a huge fan of and the other was one I’ve known of for a while, but not had the pleasure of trying yet. Here’s what was inside:

Flourish Glowing Beets

Flourish Honey Blossom Shampoo and Conditioner– I’m already quite familiar with Flourish and love their body care products, so I was very excited to try some of their hair care products out! This month’s box featured their Honey Blossom gentle shampoo and conditioner + Marshmallow Root. I had previously tried some of their body care products in this same scent and really liked how unique, yet pleasant it was. You can read my review of that here. This set is gentle and very moisturizing. They offer other varieties as well, and I’ll be sharing a lot more about their haircare products on the blog next week!

Biodara

Biodara Traveler Set– I’m familiar with Biodara and have been intrigued by their line, so I was happy to have the chance to try some of their items. Their traveler set was the perfect introduction. It includes their Luminous Cleansing Oil (you know I love a good cleansing oil to remove my makeup!), along with a reusable Eco Muslin Cloth which micro exfoliates and their Immortal Mist, which is infused with Helichrysum (so great for your skin). They all come in a cute little velvet pouch.

For the price, I think this is one of the best and most diverse subscription boxes out there in the natural genre. I love that they mix in products for your home and for the whole family, along with the best beauty products. To order next month’s box, head to their site and be sure to check out my giveaway on Insta!! We’ll have the giveaway running until Tuesday. xo

  1. I love glowing beets, they don’t let me down. I’m guessing that is because I have very similar taste to the founder.
