Beatnik Naturals

You guys know that I love discovering indie brands that really perform. Sometimes these are the brands that end up surprising me the most! I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that their products are often made with a lot of love and care, and that translates into the products they make. Most of these independent brands were born out of a personal desire to have better products available, with better ingredients. All of that is true for Beatnik Naturals, a carefully crafted line of natural care products, with everything from body scrubs to tooth powder and you can certainly feel the love and detail put into this line. I truly enjoy each of the products they sent me to try and that’s rare. Usually there’s at least one or two items that don’t make the cut. Each of these products have become a steady part of my routine!

Remineralizing Tooth Powder $9.99

This stuff has become a fast favorite. I’ve actually never tried a tooth powder prior to using this and despite being a bit apprehensive at first, I am so impressed. It smells and tastes like a delicious mix of cinnamon and cloves, which is a refreshing change of pace (or paste haha). A little powder on a wet toothbrush cleans you teeth and polishes them so that they feel incredibly smooth. With several ingredients possessing antibacterial properties, this leaves your mouth just as fresh as conventional toothpaste. Also, Beatnik Naturals says this will help to reduce plaque and remineralize your teeth, making your teeth healthier. I have to admit, my teeth feel much cleaner using this than they have with any other toothpaste in the past.

Dry Shampoo (for dark hair) $19.99

This all natural dry shampoo is a powder and unlike some other powdered dry shampoos, it actually has a light brown color, making it so easy to blend into darker hair. It’s made from a blend of clay, organic herbal powders and essential oils. I use this in between shampoos to absorb excess oil and just refresh my hair a bit. It adds a little volume back and it has a nice, fresh scent. I generally sprinkle a bit into my roots along my part and around my face and sides of my hair. I let it absorb for a moment an then I brush it through.

Black Lava Salt Scrub $12.99

I was initially intrigued by the dark color of this scrub. I really love a good salt scrub and this did not disappoint. It has a refreshing minty scent and leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturized. With Dead Sea salt and black lava salt, along with sweet almond oil, this is a luxurious treat for your skin.

Pumpkin Coconut Scrub $12.99

Pumpkin coconut? Um, yes please! This scrub is just soooo delicious. I definitely wanted to sneak a taste (but I didn’t!). This is a sugar scrub that leaves your skin smooth and smelling very delicious. It has real dried pumpkin flakes in it! Perfect for fall and winter. I may have to snatch up a few of these for gifts!

Nourishing Body Oil $19.99

This rich body oil won me over, although to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of it’s scent. It doesn’t have a bad scent, but I just wasn’t as drawn to the smell as I was with the other products. Scent is such personal thing though, and that being said, this turned out to be quite a nice body oil that I have reached for more and more as it’s grown colder. It’s what I would describe as a thicker oil (if that makes sense?). Some body oils seem to go on light and quickly disappear, but this one really gets into your skin and gives you a deeply moistures feel. Even when I touch my skin way after using it, I can still feel how soft and hydrated my skin is. I know I’ll be using this a lot as winter sets in.
