Have I told you about Glowing Beets? Only kidding! I know I’ve talked about them so much lately, but for good reason! There are tons of subscription boxes out there, but what I really like about this one is that each box seems to top the last. The founder has consistently done a great job of curating products and you end up with a nice mix to try each month. A lot of times it’s brands that I’ve either been wanting to try or that have been under my radar. Plus, for the price, you really can’t go wrong. It’s a great value for what you get. I wanted to share what was in the January and February boxes, so you could see for yourselves.
January Glowing Beets Box
Lilfox Coco Lime Lip Balm– This adorable little tin houses a cute strawberry tinted lip balm that goes on easy and keep your lips soft. This is small enough to slip into your pocket for when you’re on the go!
PLANT Apothecary Body Wash in Get Happy– I can’t say enough good things about PLANT Apothecary. I have a post coming up soon about them, but for a quick overview- This Brooklyn company creates some awesome nontoxic bath and body products with the help of adults with physical and mental disabilities. That’s win win win (you win, PLANT Apothecary wins, and these adults with limited opportunities win). This is definitely the type of company I love to support.
Rustic MAKA Pachy Deodorant in Citrus Gardens– This has an incredible springy, citrusy smell and not only fights odor, but also helps to absorb wetness with it’s high amount of arrowroot powder. That’s a must for me. I know sweating is good for us, but I need a natural deodorant that will help keep me dry as well as fresh.
FitGlow Beauty Renew Cream– Holy moly, I was so excited to receive this. FitGlow Beauty is everywhere right now and they make some stellar products. This cream works to solve many skin issues with ingredients such as kojic acid, willow bark, wildcrafted ginseng and botanical hyaluronic acid. It draws in moisture, renews, brightens and fades age/sun spots. The easy to use pump container is a nice size too.

February Glowing Beets Box
Mettā Skincare Body Butter– You may remember back in December when I reviewed this product and fell deeply in love. To this day it’s one of my most favorite body butters. I can’t get enough of the whipped, yet somehow dense texture. The Lavender scent is perfect to unwind at the end of a long day.
Osmia Organics Lip Doctor– Yet another favorite brand of mine! This limited ingredient lip balm is perfect for the most sensitive lips and delivers maximum hydration. Perfect for the cold February air.
GIA Minerals Facial mineral Glow– Ok, I’m sensing a theme here.. Seriously, this box is full of my favorites! You guys know I love GIA Minerals. This illuminizer gives a soft gentle glow to your skin and you can use it all over for a quick refreshed look or use it as more of a highlighter.
Wildcare- Lavender Hydrosol– This line is new to me, but I’m already impressed. This mist contains slowly distilled plant material which infuses the hydrosol with all the benefits of the plant. In this case, it balances PH levels, soothes skin, and has gentle anti-bacterial and anti-viral support. I love the glass spray bottle too!
Alter Eco– Dark Organic Chocolate Velvet- Last, but certainly not least- I’m a chocolate girl and this organic dark chocolate from Alter Eco won me over immediately. It’s rich and creamy like a milk chocolate, but it packs the same punch as dark chocolate. I will be getting more of this for sure!
I’m going to be honest. I’ve cancelled most of my subscription boxes because I end up giving away a lot of the stuff or tossing it because it’s gone bad before I could use it. Totally not the case here. They don’t overwhelm you with samples, instead you get several nicely sized products to try. It ends up being an excellent value for the price!
