The Hero
The Nocturnal Repair Active Emulsion is quite the hero product and gives a new meaning to the term beauty sleep! This is a new launch from BLÜH ALCHEMY and it lives up to the rest of the line (if not beyond!). This does SO much for your skin. It replenishes moisture, enzymes, minerals, and vitamins that are lost during the day. It also targets hyperpigmentation and builds a stronger lipid barrier. But the most unique trait perhaps, is due to a botanical named cheluba.
Cheluba stops the process of glycation, which is what happens when we eat sugars or starches (hello almost everyone). While your body wants to produce collagen at night, glycation does the opposite and breaks collagen down. So this this nifty ingredient shuts that down to protect your existing collagen and to keep your body churning out more collagen while you sleep.
This applies so silky smooth. It has the consistency of a lotion but is almost like a serum-lotion hybrid that deeply moisturizes. It’s not greasy at all. It has a nice, earthy-herbal scent.

The Sidekick
The Antioxidant Face Oil has been a fan favorite for a while. It’s also packed with all the good stuff! one glance at the ingredient list lets you know there are antioxidants galore in here. But it’s also a good variety so it protects your skin in different ways. I was happy to see one of my favorite powerful ingredients in there: Astaxanthin.
This is perfect for daytime and it’s moisturizing enough to wear on its own. You can layer it under the Nocturnal Repair at night, but I find that to be a bit too moisturizing for my combo skin. It also has a slight earthy-herbal scent that’s not too strong.
