When I first came across Little Barn Apothecary on Instagram, I was immediately smitten with their packaging. This simple brand with a clean aesthetic and even cleaner ingredients, has created a line of all natural self care products that feel truly indulgent. And who doesn’t love a little extra indulgence in the shower or bath? I know I do, and that is one area that I’ve been lacking. Life is hectic these days, so I tend to rush in and out of the shower, but I’ve been looking for a line of bath products and scrubs to give me that relaxing, at-home spa experience.
Little Barn Apothecary strives to keep the ingredients simple and free of any harmful additives, which I love because when it comes to ingredients, sometimes less is more. Each batch of product is blended by hand using only pure ingredients. The founders, Joshua Morgan and Brad Scoggins, have a passion for aromatherapy and green beauty and are self taught herbalists. They each have different backgrounds; Joshua had 16 years in the beauty, spa and wellness space, while Brad has background in marketing, hospitality, and creative branding, but together they’ve created a brand inspired by the natural ingredients all around them. I bet you already know from reading this what I’m going to say next. Yes, the products smell incredible! I was also pleasantly surprised by their size- more than enough to use many times. I’ve been using The Simple Coffee Scrub and The Simple Bathing Milk and I can’t stop inhaling both!
Made with fair trade organic coffee, sugar, Sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, and hemp seed oil, this scrub really leaves my skin so soft. If you’re a coffee lover, you will be instantly drawn in. It smells like a fresh cup of very good coffee. Caffeine is really effective with dealing with cellulite and the sugar and oils are all great at smoothing and moisturizing skin. This is such a great scrub to use first thing in the morning. It really perks you up!
Ahhh Heaven in a bottle? Possibly. I looovve the scent- orange clove. The bathing milk fills your bath with an amazing warm, bright scent and softens your skin. It makes me want to take a bath everyday. I was wondering if I’d have to use most the bottle in the tub to really experience it (We have a large tub, which sounds good in theory- until you’re dumping 90% of a bottle of bath salts in to be able to fill the tub), but luckily a little goes a long way, filling your bath with milky, orange clove goodness.
