Mapleblume: Luxury In A box

One thing the green beauty movement is not lacking is a plethora of luxurious products from brands that have worked hard to source only the best, all organic ingredients. The downside for a consumer who wants to try it all, is the high price tag that often results from such careful and selective ingredient sourcing. Don’t get me wrong- I believe you get what you pay for and many of these products are worth every cent due to the completely pure and highly active ingredients they possess, but let’s be real. For most of us, there’s only so much time and money we can spend finding the best all natural products. That’s where Mapleblume comes in. Based out of Canada, Mapleblume is a carefully curated luxury beauty box that comes bi-monthly and it is filled with some of the best products that green beauty has to offer.

When Mapleblume reached out to see if I’d like to try their box, I was very intrigued by all the high end luxury items they’ve included. Admittedly, this is the most expensive box I’ve seen out there and so at first glance I wondered if it would be worth it, but after taking a look at the brands they offer I’m sold. I think this box is for the natural beauty connoisseur who loves to find the best products out there and wants to save time and money by having someone else do the legwork putting together what products to try. Not to mention, the value of the box is guaranteed to far exceed the price of it, so it’s a great deal for anyone who has a penchant for high end products.

Laurel Whole Plant Organics Antioxidant Face Serum

Laurel is one of my favorites (especially their serums) when it comes to skincare, so of course I was thrilled to see the Antioxidant Face Serum in the box. I interviewed Laurel last year about their process and how they source ingredients and it’s truly a complex process that results in a product with only the finest ingredients that are kept as close to their natural state as possible. The serum normally retails for $96 (or $124 CAD), which alone makes this box worth it!

H is for Love Lip Glacé in Root & Berry

I’ll be sharing more about this lovely brand very soon, but one of my favorite products from their line is their Lip Glacé. Another one I was excited to see in this month’s box! The color is all naturally derived and leaves just a sheer tint on your lips. I love how moisturizing it is.

Naturallogic Ancient Earth Micro Exfoliate

A combination of clays, fruit enzymes and other natural ingredients help this pink cream gently exfoliate your skin. This was a new product for me and my skin has done great with it. This exfoliator is perfect for anyone who can’t tolerate more abrasive scrubs. It leaves skin smooth and soft.

Citrine Lotion Body Scrub from Vo. Bath & CO.

This scrub is formulated to turn into a lotion as you use it in the bath or shower. It’s so very moisturizing and the bright citrusy scent is perfect for summer. I’ve found that I don’t always need to use a moisturizer after I’ve used this. It was another new product for me and definitely a hit!

Pure Anada Cosmetics Mascara

Also included in the box was a mascara from Pure Anada Cosmetics. It contains phenoxyethanol and I personally avoid that ingredient due to mixed/limited studies on it. You can read more about why you may want to avoid (especially for eye products) here.

Even without using the mascara, I think this box is an incredible value and has some of the best products included. You subscribe to the box bi-monthly for $120 CAD or $90.47 USD (plus $15.08 for shipping in the US). You can also order a one time box for a little more. If you want to give them a try, they’re running a special for the whole month starting July 1st where you get 15% off new orders with code MAPLE150. You can subscribe here. TGIF! xo
