Sometimes it’s fun to splurge on an extra special product and other times finding a great lipstick at a great price can be very satisfying. Luckily, there’s plenty of splurge-worthy natural products AND plenty of budget-friendly picks that also work well. So whether you’re in the mood to save or splurge, I’ve got you covered!

Save vs. Splurge

Nude Pink Lipstick

KW Lipstick

Splurge– Kjaer Weis is perhaps the most glamorous makeup line I’ve tried. No doubt that their lipstick in honor is as beautiful on your lips as the lipstick tube is sitting on your vanity. But for $56 it’s quite a splurge!

W3ll People Save Vs. Splurge

Save– One of my favorite reasonably priced makeup brands is W3ll People and they happen to be launching their own Optimist lipstick line very soon! The shade Soulmate looks like a nice nude pink to add to my collection and the packaging is also beautiful. Hard to say no to this one at just $16.99! It’s not available yet, but you can sign up to be notified when it is here.

Rose-Scented Soap

Save Vs. Splurge Beldi Soap

Splurge– One could argue that Kahina Giving Beauty’s Beldi Soap is so much more than just soap. It softens skin and makes for a great exfoliation prep. The rose scent is out of this world, too. It will also help clean out your wallet for $46. Although you can get a bit of deal by getting in the latest Detox Box.

weleda Body Wash

Save– If all you really want is to get clean with a nice rose scent, Weleda’s Wild Rose Creamy Body Wash does the job. You can find it at Target or on Amazon for a steal. Usually around $10.

Oil Cleanser

Save vs. Splurge

Splurge– If you’ve been a reader for any length of time, you may already know how much I love Maya Chia’s products. They all work so well and are beautifully formulated. The Great Cleanse Nourishing Oil Cleanser is no exception and gently dissolves all the makeup, oil and dirt from the day. You can pick it up for $42.

Save– Another brand I love and truly get excited about their products is Live Botanicals. They also have a beautiful oil cleanser, named Luna, for slightly less at $32. (Use code MAISONPUR for 15% off).

Exfoliator For Baby Soft Skin

September Beauty Heroes

Splurge– The Activated Enzyme Exfoliator from Josh Rosebrook may be the best exfoliator that I’ve ever tried. Not only is it a great face scrub to manually exfoliate your skin, but used as a mask it does wonders. My face feels it’s absolute best right after I use this. In my opinion, it’s very worth the splurge, but at $65 it may feel like your wallet is getting a good scrubbing too.

Acure Scrub Save Vs. Splurge

Save– If a good manual scrub is what you need, look no further than Acure’s Brightening Face Scrub. It works well, rinses off easily and will make your wallet happy. You can generally find it for under $10 at Target or on Amazon.

Vitamin C Face Powder

Loving Lately: Holi (C)

Splurge– Like all things Agent Nateur makes, they’ve gone to the ends of the earth to source the best, most potent ingredients for their holi(c) face powder. They use non-GMO sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is gentler on skin than the ascorbic acid used in most vitamin C face products. They also have a patented french calcium in the formula, but nothing else. No fillers- The formula is 90% vitamin C and 10% calcium. This is quite a splurge, but if top quality is what you’re looking for, you’ll find it for $120.

Anti-aging: The Real Deal

Save– Another vitamin C powder on the market is from True Botanicals. It’s not quite as potent as the one above since they add in tapioca starch to the ingredients as a filler. Also, they use ascorbic acid which can be a little harsher on skin. For me, the splurge wins out here, but if you’re looking to save, you do save a little bit on this one at $90.

Whether you save or splurge, there are plenty of great picks! What product categories do you want to see covered in the next Save vs. Splurge post?
