7 Things For April

This is normally where I say something about spring being in full bloom, but as it happens to be snowing outside at the moment, let’s just say that spring is here-ish. This may just be nature’s way of prepping us for our spring break trip which happens to be a cooler destination this year- It would be much harder to leave here if it was warm and sunny leading up to the trip! In any case, the temperature here will be rising soon enough and bringing with it all the bright spring colors and sunny days. From some new spring launches to some warmer weather favorites, here are 7 things for April!

One. Spring Cleaning Miracle Worker

Back to Basics just launched a product that has blown me away. It’s a multipurpose cleaner and all natural version of Fabreeze all in one. The Cleaner Than Clean spray can be used on hard or soft surfaces to clean and deodorize. I use it on the dog bed, the kids’ shoes, carpets, bathroom surfaces, and more. For SO long I wished for a deodorizing spray without all the junk and this is it! You can even diffuse it to freshen up the air in your home. Buy it here.

Two. Whip Your Lips Into Shape

Kari Gran Lip Whips are a must-have product for me. Nothing moisturizes lips and stays put the way they do. They just launched a beautiful new color, perfect for the warmer months ahead: Cora Gold. It has a little hint of shimmer but mostly leaves you with a popsicle stained pout. Along with the new color, they’ve also added a lip brush to the lineup. It retracts so it’s perfect to stash in your bag and makes applying their colors super easy and mess free. You can buy it here or here.

Three. Shedding Winter Skin

Live Botanical just launched a brand new product and I think it was much needed in the natural beauty space. The new Calm + Hydrate Exfoliating Serum is part of their Fleur De Terre collection and has a gentle AHA and a blend of BHA’s to exfoliate skin and dissolve buildup deep down in pores, all while pulling moisture into your skin. It has a nice gel-like consistency, virtually no scent (yay for those that hate strong scents!), and can pair with just about any moisturizer.

I asked the founder for her top picks to pair with it and she said: “The most popular oils we pair are the Aer Whipped Oil (contains essential oil) and the Universal Oil (essential oil free)”. You can also find a list of what to use with it for various skin concerns on the product page. This brand is always such a great value. They use high-quality ingredients but believe in keeping their products accessible, so they work hard to keep prices reasonable. Stay tuned for something fun on Instagram with them later this week! You can pick this new serum here. Use code MAISONPUR to save some $$.

Four. Beachy Hair Don’t Care

For the warm, humid days ahead when you just don’t know what to do with your hair, Innersense has a solution. They just launched I Create Waves, which is a pink Himalayan salt spray to add texture and volume. Perfect for pool days or for when you’re done fighting your hair. The humidity here always seems to bring out my waves in the warm months, so it’s nice to be able to go with it and enhance them rather than overdo it with the straightening iron. Find it at Aillea.

Five. A Nice Warm Glow

Told you there were a lot of great launches this spring!! This one from RMS is their new Luminizing Powder. It comes in three shades and I went with the lightest, Grande Dame. It gives a nice warm glow wherever I apply it and it stays all day. I wear it on my cheeks and brow bones and it will be a fun one to play with for a sun-kissed look as summer gets on. You can also find this one at Aillea.

Six. Feeling Balmy

I love a good multi-use balm and this one from Clary Collection has made its way into my permanent stash in my purse. With calendula, chamomile, and lavender it’s very calming and great for irritated skin or any dry patches. I keep it on hand in case the kids get a small scrape or injury and I use it for everything from my cuticles to my lips! You can find it on their site.

Seven. Spruce Up Your Lipstick Collection

Beauty Heroes recently released a limited edition discovery with Axiology and if you’re a lipstick fan, you don’t want to miss this. They have 3 different color selections to choose from, each containing 2 lipsticks and one lip crayon. You can choose from Fiery Red, Playfully Pink (shown above), or Naturally Neutral. All are gorgeous and will vamp up your spring makeup. You can find it here.

Happy April!
