7 Things For December
Hard to believe it’s already December, but ready or not it’s here! We’re getting prepped for Christmas while finishing up some of the home remodeling we’ve been doing this year (crossing my fingers the contractor comes through and we actually DO get it finished ????!). Nothing like adding more to our list this month, but as they say, the most wonderful time of year is also the busiest! It hasn’t stopped the kids from being beside themselves for Christmas and counting down the days until it arrives. To help you through all the hustle and bustle, I’ve got 7 Things For December!
7 Things For December
One. Eco-Friendly Gift Wrap Ideas
In a season of excess, there are some simple ways to reduce waste when wrapping presents! First, I love the eco-friendly gift wrap paper from Wrappily. It’s made more efficiently than most paper and is completely recyclable! You can also consider repurposing paper bags by using the unprinted side to wrap with and tying it up with a cute ribbon. I also think these reusable gift sacks are genius!
Two. New from Live Botanical
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how much I love Live Botanical and their gorgeous line of products. They just went through some rebranding and not only did they launch some beautiful new labeling and packaging, they also changed up several products and created some new ones. I’ll be sharing more about their relaunch later this month, but in the meantime, it’s worth heading over to their site and checking out the new goodies- Especially their pretty new mask bowl and brush set.
Three. Homemade Vegan Horchata
I love horchata, especially this time of year! Last December, my husband and I were at a local Mexican restaurant and they made their own version with the addition of oat milk and it was SO delicious. I played around and made my own at home. Check out the recipe here!
Four. A Healthier Hot Chocolate
Speaking of delicious drinks this time of year, this one takes a holiday classic and puts in a healthier twist on it. It tastes just as yummy though! It even incorporates the super food maca! You can check out the recipe here.
Five. Cold Weather Masking
I used to always reach for heavier moisture masks during the colder months, but then I saw Josh Rosebrook post a detailed Instagram post on why his Cacao Antioxidant Mask is actually way more perfect for upping moisture levels during colder weather. It does such a great job of increasing circulation and helping skin to help itself. So instead of such layering moisture on top, your skin increases its own moisture level from the inside out. You can find it here.
Six. Whipped Body Butter
When the temps drop, my favorite body moisturizer is a rich body butter. One of my favorites is Organic Bath Co.’s Whipped Body Butter. They have nice scents, the texture is amazing, and it has super long lasting moisture!
Seven. Gift Guides!
If you’re still in the thick of holiday shopping (I know I am!), I’ve got you covered with some gift guides for her and for him. I’m covering kids and teens next!
Happy December Everyone!
