January Beauty Heroes
New year, new month. It’s officially January 1st and I can finally share the January Beauty Heroes box with you! I’m especially excited about this one because it has two great products from one of my favorite brands. Beauty Heroes really knocked it out of the park with this one! This month’s box features Maya Chia and the hero is one of my daily staples: The Eye Achiever.
I know I’ve gone on and on about Maya Chia for a couple of years now, but I can’t help it, they’re SO good. Their products are chic, have a great feel after you apply them and most of all, they work really well. The founder puts so much time and research into product development and it shows in the final product. Some of you may remember I was able to visit the Maya Chia studio this past spring and even try out some products that were in the works and offer my feedback (for what that’s worth, haha). In any case, I saw first hand how much went into every single product and how they wanted to be sure to get it right before releasing it. You can read my past review for the Eye Achiever here, but I’ll give you a quick rundown on what this month’s box is all about.
The Hero
The Eye Achiever has achieved what many other products have not. A roll-on eye serum that noticeably reduces puffiness, moisturizes and softens fine lines. It also lightens dark circles, especially when used over time. I’ve tried so many natural eye creams, oils, etc., and this is one of the few products that really helps with my eye puffiness. This contains both the star ingredients Maya Chia is known for, Astaxanthin and supercritical chia seed oil, along with a list of other stellar ingredients. You can use it morning and night, but if you wear makeup, I’d suggest just using a little in the morning and letting it set in for a few minutes before applying makeup on top. It does absorb in well, but being an oil based serum, too much of it may not make a great base for makeup.
The Sidekick
Another favorite of mine that I love! The Super Blend Pressed Serum. This product is in a category all on it’s own. Not quite a serum, but lighter than a balm. As soon as your fingers touch it, it melts into a light, easy to apply moisturizer. I generally apply this on it’s own or over lighter serums I have. It’s a power house of really great ingredients, from antioxidants, to some of the best active botanicals. This is included in the January box in a large travel size jar.
Since the Eye Achiever normally retails for $70, the box is a great deal at only $39. If you’ve wanted to try Maya Chia or maybe you’re already a fan, but want to try something new from them, now is the time. I have a feeling this box will go fast! You can order the January box here before the 20th or until they run out. Here’s to finding some exceptional new clean beauty products in the new year! xo
